Itinerary

Days 1-2 Nairobi, Kenya – Nakuru National Park – Eldoret.
We depart Nairobi for Lake Nakuru National Park, famous for flamingos, before continuing to Eldoret.
Days 3-5 Kampala, Uganda – Queen Elizabeth National Park – Lake Bunyonyi.
We cross into Uganda and head to Queen Elizabeth National Park to game-drive. After a unique opportunity to track chimpanzees we drive to Lake Bunyonyi.
Days 6-9 Bunyonyi Gorilla Trek to Kampala.
Here we can take an optional guided trek to see a family of mountain gorillas. For many it’s a priceless and moving experience.
Days 10-12 Kampala to Jinja.
Next stop is adrenaline centre Jinja where we can enjoy some great optional activities, and can even assist a local charity in building community schools.
Days 13-15 Jinja to Nairobi, Kenya.
We return to Nairobi via Eldoret.
Note: In Nairobi the price of accommodation on nights 14 & 15 is not included. You can choose between camping (for approximately US$5 per night) or an upgrade.
Days 16-18 Maasai Mara to Nairobi.
Next we take in Kenya’s celebrated Maasai Mara National Reserve. The ‘Mara’ is legendary for its incredible wildlife and remarkable scenery.
Days 19-22 Arusha, Tanzania – Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Crater.
We cross into Tanzania to Arusha, where we can visit a snake enclosure and a local Maasai village. We enjoy a three day excursion into the Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti National Park.
Days 23-24 Arusha to Dar es Salaam.
Passing Mount Kilimanjaro we drive to the city of Dar es Salaam.
Days 25-27 Zanzibar.
We take the ferry to Zanzibar and spend three glorious days on the relaxing ‘Spice Island’ - home to serene white beaches, tropical blue waters and swaying palm trees.
Days 28-30 Dar es Salaam to Lake Malawi.
Back on the mainland we head past Mikumi National Park to the small country of Malawi.
Days 31-33 Lake Malawi.
Hugging the shore of enormous Lake Malawi we visit several beaches to swim, snorkel and take a guided walk to a local village.
Days 34-36 Lilongwe to Lusaka, Zambia.
After visiting the city of Lilongwe we cross the Zambian border and head to the capital Lusaka.
Days 37-40 Lusaka to Livingstone.
It’s time to get excited about Livingstone and the Victoria Falls region, home to numerous adventure activities and the peerless Victoria Falls.
Days 41-42 Livingstone to Chobe National Park, Botswana.
We cross into Botswana and visit Chobe National Park, home to thousands of elephants.
Days 43-45 Chobe National Park to Okavango Delta.
In the unspoilt Okavango Delta we explore the wetland channels and floodplains on foot and by canoe, in addition to enjoying a memorable night’s camping on the river islands.
Days 46-47 Okavango to Windhoek, Namibia.
Further south we meet traditional Bushmen in the Kalahari Desert, before entering Namibia and sampling the taverns in the capital Windhoek!
Days 48-49 Windhoek to Etosha National Park.
Next we spend two days in Etosha National Park, taking game drives in magnificent desert terrain and watching wildlife at year-round waterholes.
Days 50-52 Spitzkoppe to Swakopmund.
Driving south we make camp amongst the spectacular rock formations at Spitzkoppe, before spending two nights in Swakopmund.
Days 53-55 Namib Naukluft Park to Fish River Canyon.
We journey on to the dramatic desert landscapes of Namib Naukluft Park, with its monumental sand dunes and eerie vleis (dried lake beds). Next up is the vast Fish River Canyon.
Days 56-57 Fish River Canyon to Western Cape, South Africa.
Our final country beckons, as we head into South Africa.
Day 58 Cape Town.
Finally we take a cultural township tour before reaching gorgeous Cape Town, the perfect place to round off a genuine trip of a lifetime!
