Itinerary

Map of African Insight 2013 - 2014

Days 1-2 Johannesburg, South Africa to Kruger National Park.

Welcome to your amazing African adventure. From cosmopolitan Johannesburg we travel to  Kruger National Park, South Africa’s largest and best known wildlife area, where we have the opportunity to game-drive in search of the ‘Big Five’ Five’ (lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard). We also look forward to a cultural evening of Shangaan dancing. (D) (B,L,D)

Day 3-5 Kruger National Park to Chobe National Park, Botswana.

Leaving Kruger, we travel in to Botswana passing through the small towns of Palapye, Francistown and Nata, enjoying the African scenery on the way to Chobe National Park. The park is renowned for its large herds of elephant, as well as lion, hippo and buffalo, and we will have our best chance of seeing some or all of these mighty beasts on a morning game drive. While here we take a ‘Fish Eagle’ cruise on the Chobe River to absorb the tranquillity of the area and hopefully spot some of the abundant birdlife, including feeding kingfishers, while the brilliant African sun slips below the horizon. Day 6 Chobe National Park to Livingstone, Zambia.

Next we cross the Zambezi River, entering Zambia It’s time to get excited about our stop in Livingstone, Africa's adrenalin capital, and an access point to the peerless Victoria Falls. (B)

Day 7 Livingstone.

Our last stop is a riverside camp near Livingstone, close to the awesomely powerful Victoria Falls. What’s more, the area is Africa’s adventure capital – here we can try white water rafting, gorge-swinging, canoeing or even bungee jumping! Our trip comes to an end here, but we keep enough memories to last a lifetime! (B)
