Day 1 Cairns (Great Barrier Reef - Passions of Paradise)

*Pack a day bag for your day on the boat
G’day and welcome to the next 14 Days of your Island Suntanner trip with Topdeck! We begin with an incredible, almost unbelievable day ... one that you’ll remember forever! Of course, we’re talking about the Great Barrier Reef! As we set sail for the outer reef onboard our catamaran from Cairns, we’ll stop at two unique locations: Michaelmans Cay and our exclusive Paradise Reef. All snorkelling equipment is included today and if you’re keen to dive, optional introductory and certified scuba diving is available too. There’s also a tasty buffet lunch included - freshly prepared by our onboard chef including prawns and fresh tropical fruit! (L)

Day 2 Cairns

Today is a free day of leisure in beautiful Cairns. Here you have the perfect chance to go wild with optional activities and day trips, from white water raftingon the Tully River to a full day tour of the World Heritage listed Daintree region. If it’s time out you’re after, Cairns has a great range of cafes, shopping and attractions on offer too. (B)

Day 3 Cairns to The Whitsundays (Overnight Sailing).

Next we travel down through Townsville to Airlie Beach, resort town and gateway to the Whitsunday Islands. Step aboard our racing maxi-yacht as we head in to the blue, then stargaze from the deck after dark. Bliss. (B, D)

Day 4 The Whitsundays.

We’ve arrived in Paradise! After waking in a sheltered cove, we visit Whitehaven beach, a slice of blinding white-sand perfection. Soak up the sun, swim in the tropical ocean and snorkel over colourful coral reefs. You could even take a turn at the helm! Tonight we stay on an idyllic tropical island. (B, L, D)

Day 5 The Whitsundays.

A whole day to explore the island’s unspoilt beaches and azure waters. Feed the Rainbow Lorikeets, relax by the pool, or hike the trails for scenic views, then enjoy Topdeck’s Sunset Cocktails and Canapés by the beach this evening! (B, D)

Day 6 The Whitsundays to Emu Park.

We’re up early today, heading back to the mainland and Airlie Beach. From here we head south to beachside Emu Park, where we enjoy a real Aussie favourite, a ‘reef & beef’ dinner. (B, D)

Day 7 Emu Park to Kroombit Park, via Rockhampton.

After a visit to visit Rockhampton (or “Rocky” to the locals) we’re off to the Outback. At our working cattle station in the bush we can watch a Goat Rodeo, feast on delicious camp-oven tucker, and even try our luck on the mechanical bull! The scenery’s amazing and the hospitality is legendary. (B, L, D)

Day 8 Kroombit Park to Noosa.

After an optional quad-bike ride, or a more sedate horseback option it is on to Noosa, a popular resort town on the Sunshine Coast that borders a beautiful national park. (B)

Day 9 Fraser Island.

A full day visit to the world’s largest sand island, UNESCO World Heritage-listed Fraser Island! We take a 4-wheel drive tour and guided rainforest walk followed by an Aussie BBQ lunch on the banks of stunning Lake McKenzie. (B, L)

Day 10 Noosa to Gold Coast.

We’re off along the Bruce Highway, past the Glasshouse Mountain range and on to Brisbane, capital of Queensland, for an included river cruise. From here we hit the gorgeous Gold Coast, and tonight we’re in Surfers’ Paradise, a killer cocktail of great beaches and the best nightlife south of the equator. (B, D)

Day 11 Gold Coast to Byron Bay.

Today it’s a short hop into New South Wales and we make our way to Byron Bay, the easternmost point on the mainland. World renowned for its superb beaches and eclectic lifestyle, it’s a resort town so good some visitors have never left!

Day 12 Byron Bay.

What to do with our full day in Byron? An optional activity such as sea kayaking, diving, or skydiving perhaps? Maybe you’d prefer to experience the arts and crafts of the local area, or take a walk to Cape Byron? Then again, the beach could be calling your name... Choices, choices! (B)

Day 13 Byron Bay to Crescent Head.

Heading down the coast, we check out Coffs Harbour and the “Big Banana”, before reaching the pristine beaches of the Central Coast. Enjoy our included surfing lesson and "hang 10" in the shimmering Pacific Ocean. (B, D)

Day 14 Crescent Head to Sydney.

After a morning of more surfing, we continue south Kempsey (home of the “Akubra” hat) to one of the world’s great cities: Sydney, where our Aussie adventure reaches its finale. (B)
