Itinerary

Day 1 - Cairo

Arrive at Cairo International Airport. An arrival transfer from the airport to the hotel is included. Tonight we join our fellow travellers and Trip Leader for a group meeting about our upcoming adventure.

 

Day 2 - Cairo - Luxor

After breakfast we depart for a full day tour to visit the Egyptian Museum, the Pyramids and the Sphinx. The Great Pyramid lies on the Giza plateau, overlooking

Cairo and is one of the surviving ‘Seven Ancient Wonders of the World’. In the evening we board a first class train to Luxor for the overnight journey. (B)

 

Day 3 - Luxor

We arrive in Luxor in the morning and transfer to our hotel to freshen up. Then we board our private air conditioned mini bus as our guide introduces us to the amazing Temple of Karnak. We also visit the Temple of Luxor. (B)

 

Day 4 - Luxor

A highlight of every visitor to Egypt is a guided tour of the Valley of the Kings. Our Egyptologist really brings the incredible history of this area to life as we explore the area. We also visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, before returning to Luxor for some free time to shop in the colourful markets. (B)

 

DAY 5 - Hurghada

This morning we head across the desert to the beautiful coast of the Red Sea. In the afternoon we can enjoy the water sports at the beach or take an optional quad bike safari into the desert. Dinner is included at the hotel and at night the town is alive with many small bars, cafés and nightclubs. (B,D)

 

Day 6 - Hurghada

After breakfast, we have a free day to enjoy Hurghada. The Red Sea is one of the best places to snorkel and enjoy some amazing coral reefs and marine life. There is also an optional tour to the Gifton Island for snorkelling and diving. In the evening, we toast our trip at dinner at the hotel. (B,D)

 

Day 7 - Cairo

This morning we depart Hurghada and transfer back to Cairo by private air-conditioned coach. (B)

 

Day 8 - Cairo

Our trip ends at the hotel after breakfast. (B)
