Itinerary

Day 1 London to Paris, France (option also to join in Paris)

From London to Paris where we set out on a city lights tour. (D)

 

Day 2 Paris

A free day to explore Paris, before enjoying our very special Paris Gourmet Picnic beside the Eiffel Tower. An optional Seine River cruise or cabaret show finishes the day. (B,D)

 

Day 3 Paris to Swiss Alps, Switzerland

Today we have some breathtaking scenery on our way to the village of Lauterbrunnen, which is situated in the heart of the stunning Swiss Alps. (B,L,D)

 

Day 4 Swiss Alps

An optional adventure to the top of Jungfrau, Europe’s highest rail station for some amazing views. (B,L,D)

 

Day 5 Swiss Alps to French Riviera, France

Following Napoleon’s footsteps we make tracks to the French Riviera. (B,L,D)

 

Day 6 French Riviera

Time to spot the celebrities as we stroll the promenades! Tonight we mingle with the stars at the casinos of Monaco. (B)

 

Day 7 French Riviera to Florence, Italy

First stop the Leaning Tower of Pisa before we reach Florence and sample the delicious Tuscan cuisine. (B,D)

 

Day 8 Florence to Rome

The city of Florence unveils its artistic treasures today before we head to Rome and our fascinating walking tour. (B)

 

Day 9 Rome

A visit to the Vatican including the option of exploring the Sistine Chapel. Then the day is free to checkout Rome. (B,D)

 

Day 10 Rome to Venice

The fair city of Verona, home of Romeo and Juliet breaks our journey to Venice. (B,L,D)

 

Day 11 Venice

Our walking tour allows us to see such sights as St Mark’s Square and the Rialto Bridge. Our vaporetto ride is the perfect way to see the Grand Canal and of course there is the chance for an optional gondola ride. (B,D)

 

Day 12 Venice to Vienna, Austria

On to stylish Vienna. Famous for its opera, coffee and apple strudel. (B,L,D)

 

Day 13 Vienna

The day is ours to discover Vienna – the Opera House, St Stephen’s Cathedral, and the Hofburg Palace are just some of the attractions available today. (B)

 

Day 14 Vienna to Budapest, Hungary via Bratislava

To Bratislava and our walking tour, before heading to the twin cities of Buda and Pest. (B,D)

 

Day 15 Budapest

What an amazing city Budapest is! Where else can you watch chess played in an outdoor bath or explore an underground labyrinth which even has its own fountain producing wine? (B)

 

Day 16 Budapest to Krakow, Poland via Slovakia

We travel through Slovakia before arriving at Krakow. (B,L,D)

 

Day 17 Krakow

This city inspires all. Our visit includes the Jewish Quarter and the Palace of the Polish Kings. (B)

 

Day 18 Krakow to Prague, Czech Republic

First, a sobering visit to the former concentration camps of Auschwitz and Birkenau. Then it’s on to one of our favourite cities – Prague. Our walking tour amongst the cobblestone streets is enthralling. (B,L,D)

 

Day 19 Prague

The day is ours to explore charming Prague. Our hostel here is one of the best in Europe. (B)

 

Day 20 Prague to Berlin, Germany

The city of Dresden’s history dates back 800 years and hence makes a fascinating break on our journey to Berlin. (B,D)

 

Day 21 Berlin

Once divided, this city is now regarded as one of the most modern and happening places in Europe. The nightlife? Awesome! (B)

 

Day 22 Berlin to Amsterdam, Netherlands

From one happening city to another as we head to Amsterdam. Tonight a visit to the Red Light District. (B,L)

 

Day 23 Amsterdam

Our bicycle tour is a great introduction to Amsterdam followed by our walking tour. Tonight a farewell dinner and optional canal cruise. (B,D)

 

Day 24 Amsterdam to London

The Belgian city of Brugge is a great place to sample some of the 300 different varieties of beer, and of course who can resist the chocolate? We arrive back in London this evening. (B)
