Day 1 Athens, Greece

Dinner with our new travelling companions to start our trip. (D)

 

Days 2-4 Athens to Mykonos

Three nights to explore one of the world’s most beautiful islands. (B) (B,D) (B) 

 

Day 5 Mykonos to Athens

Return ferry transfer to Athens. (B).

 

Day 6 Athens to Meteora

North to Meteora, where we visit the complex of cliff top monasteries dating back to the 14th century. (B,D)

 

Day 7 Meteora to Tirana, Albania

To Albania – our luxurious hotel in Tirana is sure to impress. (B,L,D)

 

Days 8-9 Tirana to Dubrovnik, Croatia via Montenegro

On to Montenegro and the coastal scenery surrounding Kotor Bay. Then across the border to Croatia and gorgeous Dubrovnik. (B,D) (B)

 

Day 10 Dubrovnik to Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina

Sarajevo is a fascinating city heroically re-building itself from its recent tragic past. (B,D)

 

Day 11 Sarajevo to Belgrade, Serbia

Travel via Srebrenica, location of the Bosnian massacre of 1995. Then on to Belgrade, capital of Serbia. An orientation tour gets us acquainted with this historic city. (B)

 

Days 12-13 Belgrade to Budapest, Hungary

We spend the next two nights near the mighty Danube in fascinating Budapest. (B,D) (B)

 

Day 14 Budapest to Vienna, Austria

On to charming Vienna, home of Strauss, great coffee and apple strudel. (B)

 

Days 15-16 Vienna to Prague, Czech Republic

Our walking tour is a great introduction to this charming city and we have plenty of free time also to explore ourselves. (B,D) (B)

 

Days 17 Prague

Our trip ends after breakfast. (B)
