Itinerary

Day 1 Barcelona, Spain

This afternoon we meet our Trip Leader for a tour of this funky city before our welcome dinner. (D)

 

Day 2 Barcelona to Valencia

This morning spend some free time to explore Barcelona before we head to Valencia via Cava Caves. (B,D)

 

Day 3 Valencia

Start the day with a walking tour of the Old Quarter of Valencia. This afternoon is ours to explore the rest of the city or head to the beach. (B)

 

Days 4-5 Valencia to Granada

We head to Granada, the last Moorish city in Spain to fall to the Christians. Visit the Alhambra, once a fortress, with palaces, gardens and a small city all in one. (B,D) (B)

 

Day 6 Granada to Tangier, Morocco

Today we head to the southern tip of Spain across the Strait of Gibraltar to Morocco. (B,D)

 

Day 7 Tangier to Fes

Today we travel to Fes, the oldest and largest Medieval city in the world. (B,D)

 

Day 8 Fes

Begin the day with a tour of this fascinating city with a local guide and spend the afternoon exploring at our own pace. (B)

 

Day 9 Day trip to Meknes and Volubilis, Fes

We take a day trip out to the Roman ruins of Volubilis. We also visit the city of Meknes. (B,D)

 

Day 10 Fes to Seville, Spain

We bid farewell to Africa and return to Europe. (B,D)

 

Day 11 Seville

On our tour of Seville we see the beautiful Plaza de Sappan, the Cathedral of Seville, the Real Alcazar. The tapas bars and a Flamenco show are definitely worth a visit! (B)

 

Day 12 Seville to Lisbon, Portugal

Next to Portugal. On arrival in Lisbon we see the sights. Tonight we check out Bairro Alto, one of the oldest districts in Lisbon. (B,D)

 

Day 13 Lisbon

We have a free day to check out Lisbon or maybe take a train out to the nearby town of Sintra. (B)

 

Day 14 Lisbon

We say farewell after breakfast. (B)
