How do I get to my departure point?

To give you the chance to grab great flight deals and keep your holiday costs down, we do not inlude flights with our packages. You'll be able to source the best deals either from the internet or your travel agent. We are able to assist you to pre-book transport from the airport.

What is the local payment?

To give you the best value we have arranged than an element of your trip cost is paid locally. This amount is listed on each itinerary age and is paid in cash to the Trip Leader at the start of our trip. The Trip Leader uses it to cover the daily expenses of running the trip and includes, amongst others, game park entrance fees, camping fees and food. By splitting the trip cost you stagger the payment for your trip.

What's included?

Is there an age policy on the African safaris?

Africa Travel Co. operates an open age policy on all of the trips on this website. You may have some like-minded travellers who fall outside of the classic Topdeck age range (18 to 30 something) on your trip.

Can I extend my stay?

Topdeck is happy to book all accommodation and transfers as featured and payment is made direct to the service provider on arrival. Please request these services at the time of booking.

What clothes should I take?

The climate is mostly dry and varies between hot days and mild nights in the summer months to warm days and cool nights in the winter. Lightweight cottons and linens are recommended for the summer with some warmer clothing needed for winter.

Do I need much cash?

You should have some cash (US$ or UK£) with you on arrival. Tipping is expected for quite a few things (carrying your luggage etc) but you only need to give a small amount and your Trip Leader will advise you.
