Egypt And Middle East Pre Departure Information Itinerary
Day 1 Amman.
Arrive at Queen Alia International airport and meet our Topdeck representative for an included hotel transfer.
Day 2 Amman.
To the ancient city of Jerash, where our local guide shows us around the Greco-Roman ruins. Next we visit Ajloun Castle, a strategic stronghold for the Arabs during the Crusades. We return to Amman this evening. (B)
Day 3 Amman - Petra.
To Madaba, the Christian centre of Jordan, to see its famous mosaics. From here it's not far to Mt Nebo (where Moses is said to have seen the ‘Promised Land'), then on to Mujeb Valley. We stop at Karak, one of the most famous castles in Jordan, before arriving in magnificent Petra. (B)
Day 4 Petra.
A full day in the awesome ‘Rose City' of Petra! Our local guide will bring this incredible World Heritage Site to life. (B)
Day 5 Petra - Wadi Rum.
Today we stop at ‘Little Petra', before transferring to 4x4 Jeeps and driving through stunning landscape to our desert camp in Wadi Rum. Tonight we have an amazing traditional dinner. (B,D)
Day 6 Petra - Jerusalem.
To the Dead Sea in West Jordan! Time to float, swim and relax before we head to the border crossing at Sheikh Hussein Bridge. In Israel our Driver will transfer us to Jerusalem. (B)
Day 7 Jerusalem.
A day to explore historic Jerusalem! Our walking tour takes in the Wailing Wall, Aqsa Mosque and Dome of the Rock. We continue across the Muslim Quarter and visit the Church of the Holy Sepulcher and Golgotha (where Jesus was crucified). We continue through the Jewish and Armenian quarters, then the day is ours to enjoy the markets, museums and nightlife! (B)
Day 8 Jerusalem - Amman.
First up we visit the Mount of Olives for a famous view over the city to the Temple Mount. From here we visit the Garden of Gethsemane and the Church of all Nations, then on to Mount Zion for the Last Supper Room and the Tomb of King David. Departing Jerusalem, it's a short drive to Bethlehem (birthplace of Jesus) to visit Manger Square and the Church of the Nativity. We then make for the border with Jordan, stopping en route at Jericho, one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. We bid farewell to our Israeli guide and enter Jordan before transferring to Amman. (B)
Day 9 Amman.
After breakfast, an included airport transfer marks the end of our incredible trip. (B)
