Itinerary

Day 1 London to Edinburgh, Scotland - 30 December 2010

Depart with us early this morning from London and wave goodbye to London as we head north through the beautiful English countryside towards Scotland’s historic capital – Edinburgh! This city has so much to offer including the beautiful castle perched atop Castle Rock, friendly locals and a world renowned night life – in short, one of the greatest cities in the world! Tonight we get to know our fellow travellers at Topdeck’s welcome party, kicking off our Hogmanay celebrations!

Day 2 Edinburgh, Scotland - 31 December 2010

The countdown begins! This morning we commence our sightseeing tour of Edinburgh with a specialist 'Blue Badge' guide, taking in The Royal Mile, Holyrood Palace, and Edinburgh Castle amongst other stunning sights in this historic city. The New Years celebrations begin this afternoon as clocks in the southern hemisphere strike twelve. Soak up the amazing atmosphere that oozes from the streets of Edinburgh as tonight we join over 140,000 party goers at the world famous Edinburgh street party (tickets included). Party away till the early hours in this amazing festival of fireworks and fun. (B)

Day 3 Stirling Castle, Scotland - 1 January 2011

After a well deserved sleep in why not join our afternoon trip to Stirling Castle, scene of the battle of Stirling (best know from the movie Braveheart), and one of the largest and most important castles in Scotland. Tonight is our final chance to experience Edinburgh’s world renowned night life, and toast the memories of the past few days! (B)

Day 4 Edinburgh to London, England - 2 January 2011

Today we say our sad farewells to Scotland, heading south towards London, where the trip finishes this evening at the Clink Hostel. Upon arrival back in London, we say our fond farewells to our Topdeck companions! (B)
