WELCOME TO ST JOHANN, AUSTRIA
Spending eight days skiing, snowboarding or just mucking about in Tyrol, Austria - a location we know well! Topdeck has been visiting Tyrol for many years throughout the summer season which means our ‘on the ground’ suppliers know exactly what our passengers want.
The town of St Johann lies in a valleyin the heart of the Kitzbueheler Alpine region. St Johann and the surrounding mountains are famous for world class skiing and snowboarding with excellent snow conditions from December to April. St Johann is known for its sunny skiing, amazing views, apres ski, mountain huts and bars, shopping, and great Tyrolean style food and beers (local brewery Huber makes a great pork knuckle!).
TOPDECK SKI REP
For the duration of your stay you will enjoy the services of a dedicated Topdeck Ski Rep. Our friendly, helpful Reps are passionate travellers who are on hand to help you make the most of your time on the slopes. They'll help you organise ski passes, ski and snowboard hire, lessons and optional activities such as day trips and paragliding.
SNOW BIKE PUB CRAWL
The group meets on Tuesday afternoons where we pick up our snow bikes & helmets (make sure you're wearing snowboard boots or good waterproof winter shoes). Then we take a cable car up to Mid Station where we stop at Koasaburg, Hochfeld, Biwak and finally Max Pub to join in the Apres Ski.
TOPDECK MOUNTAIN TOUR
Exclusive to Topdeck, our hosts will run two free mountain tours every week. Take to the slopes with a qualified instructor who will show you some tips and tricks to help you make the most of your time in St Johann and the surrounding Schneewinkl ski area. Each tour takes approx 2 hours depending on abilities.
GETTING THERE
The resort in St Johann is accessible via Salzburg, Innsbruck and Munich airports. Airport transfers can be arranged through Topdeck's local representative.
