Visit Buda Castle

Ahhh Budapest, home to some of the most impressive Baroque buildings in Eastern Europe. First up: Buda Castle. Nestled high above the Danube, this grand palace was the jewel in the Hungarian crown for hundreds of years. Today, you won't find any Hungarian royalty living in the castle district, but you can explore art museums, Matthias Church and many famous medieval relics.

Check out Budapest's famous Gellert and Széchenyi thermal baths

Do like the locals do and bathe in the centre of Budapest. Because, why not? If Art Nouveau architecture is your style, try Gellert Baths. Then head to Széchenyi thermal baths for Hungary's most famous bathing experience and the largest medicinal bath in Europe. With 15 indoor baths and three giant outdoor pools connected to thermal springs, we hear they throw a good spa party here too...
