It was good. The places we saw and the friends we made. I really enjoyed the Pasta Class we had in Italy.

So much play and not much pause.

It was literally go go go but don't let that stop you.

I was on the older end of the age group and found it hard to keep up with the group of about 13 of us.

I really enjoyed the karaoke place we went to and learning about each Country.

The food was epic and my favourite location was The Austrian Alps.

I felt a bit more relaxed and at home there, with scenic views of the Alps and clouds and it all seemed more laid back. Worth going to and the place we stayed it was totally worth it. Shoutout to Hotel Tiroler ADLER - bed and breakfast in Waidring.

Awesome trip! Had so much fun with our tour guide being so knowlegable and the whole group felt like a family.

Fun, fast, and social exactly as it was intended. Experience can vary based on your guide, driver, and group you travel with. I had a pretty solid group all around. It is extremely fast paced so might help to plan out your top must see/visit spot for each country as you only have a limited time in each one.

If I did this trip again, I’d recommend foregoing all the Topdeck food experiences (fondue, dinner in Vienna, etc. - every single one was a let down, expensive and everyone that partook felt it was a colossal waste of time and money) and skip the Vienna concert. The other experiences like Moulin Rouge and everything in Switzerland was great. You will be better off going with the driver’s and your guide’s recommendations or finding your own for a better and most likely less expensive dining experience. Pro tip, look for restaurants that are busy and filled with locals - usually have the best food.

Pack cold meds and a lot of cough drops. If one person gets sick, pretty much everyone is gonna get sick at some point as it spreads fast sharing rooms and being in an enclosed spot like the bus. Pack a towel as some hostels don’t provide them and charge to use theirs. Some people snore so recommend ear plugs as well. There is a ton of walking so bring comfortable clothing and shoes. Travel adapter is a must. If you have the space for it, a small umbrella is a good idea too. Not a ton of snow (except Switzerland) but did get quite a bit of rain during my trip. Hope this helps.

The only reason I am giving 4 stars is because of the tour guide and the driver. They were both friendly, knowledgeable, made me feel comfortable and safe during the entire trip. However, what made me really dislike Topdeck were the accommodations and the suggested activities in Vienna and Switzerland. The hostel were awful in both places and the food. I threw up after eating at the restaurant in Vienna during the concert. The concert was not good either. The experiences there made me not want to ever do another Topdeck again.

Where do I start?

The optional stuff? 10/10 - so many recommendations from our amazing trip leader that it felt so easy to make a decision on where to go.
The vibes? 10/10 - amazing people, amazing crew, great way to make friends, excellent way to feel safe when seeing Europe for the first time and best possible way to get around. Loved that at any point during the trip, you could always strike up a conversation with anyone including TopDeck Crew.
The sights? 100/10 - Europe is absolutely beautiful in Winter, and even better when you can share a mulled wine with good company.
The length 5/10 - Just enough time to have the time of your life, make life long friends and start planning your next trip!

I had the best time! The Top Deck team were amazing and so knowledgeable. I love that they kept the groups small-ish so we had an even better time bonding and getting to know each other. Will absolutely be booking with Top Deck again!

Was an amazing way to see so much of Europe in a short period of time. The group was a nice small number so we were all able to get to know each other really well and our tour guide Yassin was personable and went above to make our experience memorable. Only downside was I wish we had more time in each place!

Would 100% do another (topdeck) tour again. The people I met were amazing we all got along really well which made the trip so much better. The tour guide was fun and easy to talk too! He went out of his way to make sure we all felt included.

The tour was just amazing! So many sites to see. Very fast paced but we were expecting that. Do as much optional activities as you can! Our Topdeck leader Chloe and driver Catalin were the best duo to lead us through Europe!

Great way to see some great destinations in such a small amount of time. Great trip leader who was very informative and the bus driver was smooth and had a fun personality.
Because the nature of the trip gave limited time in each destination, it would have been better to stay in hotels closer to the main areas of the cities to avoid wasting time catching public transport in and out.

I didn't realise how go, go, go it was going to be, but I enjoyed it all the same.
I met some great people, and our tour leader was amazing!

The trip was a fantastic intro to Europe! Fast paced but if we weren't down with a cold it would have been easier. We got super lucky with the weather, only one day somewhat miserable, the day we spent in Florence was raining the whole time. April - May is the perfect time to go, not yet crazy busy or super hot/cold. Highlights: bike ride in Amsterdam (optional extra), river Seine cruise in Paris (optional extra), gondola ride in Venice (although don't smell the water if you can), Italian food, Vatican City tour (optional extra), German pastries and bread.
Laura our trip leader really made our tour extra special, and Catalin our driver is clearly very experienced. I was super impressed with Laura's energy the whole trip. She knew how to 'read the room' and let us sleep on the bus, then wake us up with some facts, language lessons, etc.
I would definitely recommend this trip to my friends, it's a good amount of time to travel before you need a rest. I'll definitely look at a longer trip in future to see more!
Only complaint/s: not enough time in Lucerne (arriving at 5pm) for free time during shop opening hours. Rome hotel bathrooms are quite small and inconvenient to use when you've walked 15km days, however we were warned about Italian hotels so it wasn't unexpected. The Leather demo was a bit oversold, probably more of a quick intro to leather. We didn't see any being made as the name suggested, and it felt a bit rushed I still don't know how to tell real from fake.
Could probably use a few more tips on the site/booking page such as: bring cash for Italy, tipping required in Italy, don't withdraw cash just anywhere in Italy.

Very fast paced but a great way to see a lot of Europe!

There was one hotel and it was probably the worst hotel I've ever been to. Some of the music on the bus was wildly inappropiate. Other than that, everything was perfect.

Such an excellent way to see Europe, gives you a great idea of what to see and where you want to go back. It was very fast paced trip so having Alex as our trip leader was great as he was giving us information about the locations before we arrived. Our driver Sergiu was incredible navigating through the cities and also had an incredible amount of information to give us as well! Definitely recommend.

This tour was an amazing experience & I would recommend it to anyone. It was short but sweet. Next time I will book a longer one purely because it was so much fun and I didn’t want it to end. Kat our trip leader was a huge part in what made the trip so great & memorable - she is the most fun, energetic & kind person, plus very informative & professional. She honestly felt like a friend which was awesome. Don our bus driver was also fantastic & added to the great experience. He was professional, prompt, kind, and you always felt safe with him driving. Kat & Don were such a great team together, honestly the dream team! You’ll be lucky if you get either one of them on your trip, especially both!! I had such an incredible experience & I can’t wait to go on another Topdeck tour next year!

Kat D was our tour guide and she was great, she had never been on this tour before but had been to some of the locations so she knew a fair bit. Very friendly, very organised, got everything sorted for us, found restaurants and transport options, she was amazing.

Don was our driver and he did his best with the amount of traffic jams and car accidents we endured and also our aircon broke on the bus and we had to wait a day to fix it, but he got it sorted. He was always open for a chat and has a lot of knowledge about other countries also, was super friendly and a great driver and could park the bus in the smallest of parking bays.

The tour was a good way to explore a little bit of each county but visit a lot of countries in a short amount of time. If we had arrived in each country on time it would have been better but we lost a lot of exploring time in traffic.
We stayed at hotels and most were good with just enough room for two people but some were very small and average.
Overall the tour was good, a lot of time on the bus, a lot of countries visited and a quick sightseeing intro to them. It’s a good way to find out which countries are your favourites and so you know which ones to visit again.

Not great value considering the cost of the trip.

Coach should be in better condition (AC did not work for 2 very hot days, USB charging ports did not work at multiple seats on the coach considering long travel times of up to 8 hours on some days), hotels could be closer to town and better quality (some hotels were lacking basic facilities such as AC, fridge and kettle in room), bus should be driven to activities rather than have to navigate the public transport systems in each city ourselves, guides could be more helpful with suggestions of things to do that are close to town and can be realistically done in the limited time we had in each city (instead of just giving us a big dump of items to sort through ourselves only to find some of the places are too far from town, not open etc), have more included dinners, include London as an actual destination on the tour with time to explore it (instead of just having it as a start/end point), should allow booking of optional activities at point of purchase (considering that some of them sell out well in advance), include going up the Eiffel tower as an optional activity, timing of activities should consider local events (visited France on Bastille Day but could not attend the festivities as the booking of Moulin Rouge cabaret clashed with it), multiple changes to schedule at short notice made it difficult to plan activities to do on free days, final day of tour should still have included accommodation (it is a travel day returning to London in the late afternoon, but too late to have enough time to go to the airport and fly home on the same day), should be split into separate groups for people in their 20s and 30s (the tour was a monoculture of people in their early 20s who were mostly just into partying rather than showing a deeper interest in the countries visited and their cultures).

In all it was a very fast paced tour with basic facilities, and suited for people where sightseeing/culture/history is secondary to drinking/partying - I was after more of a cultural experience, and something that allows me to see multiple countries in a short time given that I don't have a lot of leave from work, but given the fast pace combined with late nights and early starts, it feels like I need a holiday to recover from my holiday.

An awesome trip, gives you the opportunity to see so much of Europe in a quick turnaround while meeting some amazing people.

We absolutely loved the trip! Although it was very fast pace we really enjoyed the itinerary and the countries involved.

The trip is fantastic. We knew it was going to be fast and leave us with unfinished business in most places. This did not take away from the trip at all! it was a fantastic introduction to Europe.

Between Munich and Venice our bus driver said he would take us the scenic route, which our tour guide had never done before. This lead to one of my highlights, having lunch at a lake surrounded by the Dolomites. Ioannis is a great driver, he knows the exact dimensions of the bus and has the perfect temperament for all the varied driving he has to do across Europe.

Stephanie is a fantastic guide, she looks after everyone and makes sure we are having a great time. as well as providing excellent tours and knowledge of the places we saw.

The hotel we stayed at in Rome left a bit to be desired, the Hot water stopped working one night (I suspect they were doing repairs) and the receptionist said that's impossible. It magically seemed to work after that.

Every single thing had been thought of - maximising our time in each country. Very quick way to have a glimpse of Europe. Although the bus made for some long days - always something happening!

Amazing, the sites were beautiful our trip advisor made our experience so much better he knew what he was doing, new alot about the places we went and could speak multiple languages! He helped us before we got into a country to learn basic words.

Just all round an amazing trip. The places. The people. Nicole and Daniel as trip leader and driver made it just so special. I had just turned 18 and was solo and there was not one time I felt scared unsafe or alone. Absolutely the perfect trip. Cant rate high enough!!

Good taste of all the countries

Such a fun experience! Would recommend TopDeck to anyone who wants to travel without the hassle of planning your every move, especially if you're traveling alone.

Feel like I definitely got my moneys worth in terms of hostels stayed at and amount of cities went to.

Though I would have enjoyed more time in each of the locations, the trip was a good (if fast) exploration of those countries.

GREAT TOUR FROM START TO FINSIH

Too much time on a coach driving. Not enough time in cities, and most hotels where awful, only 2 were decent out of the 10 we stayed in. Included activities where mediocre. Even some of the paid ones were lack lustre.

Our trip leader was incredible, you could tell she was genuinely passionate about travel and she provided us with so much history while we were touring each city, we never felt like we missed out. We had excellent banter with the coach drivers (and it's a coach, not a bus, before you get that wrong one too many times!) and always felt safe and looked after. We had insider knowledge of the best places to each and drink in each city and I loved having all our optional activities lined up for us as soon as we arrived, maximising the time we had. Nothing was too much trouble, they put up with our endless questions, chit chat and even let us guest DJ on the coach! It was quite a quick trip, we definitely got incredible value for our time, but when we go back next year, we'll be looking at a longer trip so we get a few more days in each city.

Many of the places we stayed were below average standard, 8 people in bunk beds in a room. Some had no power and no hot water (Switzerland was the worst for this). It was a hostel tour, but there are standards that you expect. Disappointed with the accommodations. Generator in Paris was amazing at least! USB ports on the bus were awesome, as you spend almost the entire trip on the bus. The add on extras were not the price as advertised if not enough people signed up for activities they went up by a significant amount. The bus wasn't full which meant we could all stretch out, but it was a very small group and less people to meet. The tour guide and bus driver were fantastic, the places were beautiful and it was a fun way to go around Europe, and meet amazing friends.

Everything went so great, I can't praise you enough!

I would definitely buy a Topdeck tour again. When I did this trip I was 18, had never travelled abroad without family. Topdeck is a brilliant way to travel 'alone' but still give you that safety net. The coaches were really comfortable, everyone goes on the trip intending to get along. You get a synopsis of where you're going from your tour leader and some optional activities. This gives you an idea of stuff to do which you can obviously ignore if you want. The tour leader - having been to these cities many times knows lots of little off the street places to go, and where to avoid. Information that would take you forever to find online. They already know what transport you need be it ferry, bus or metro. it's little things like that which when you're an experienced traveller you can sort of wing it but when you're a novice it can turn into an absolute pain. It felt safe but not muffled, easy going and all round fun. It's a brilliant way to travel, it gives you a base to go out and enjoy every new city from. I was naturally surrounded by new people so it's also a very sociable way to travel. Larger groups (mine was 20) was brilliant as in each activity you can shift around more and get to know people better. It was a brilliant experience. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I highly recommend.

Prior to going on this trip, I was under the impression that I would get to 'thoroughly' see/explore each country. This wasn't properly specified before purchasing so there was a huge FOMO factor during my trip. For instance, we would literally only spend 1/2 a day in one country!

A really wonderful experience for those who thrive in a fast-paced environment, however, if you would much prefer to get engrossed in culture/history, maybe look into a longer trip.

Great trip, met lots of new people, saw places I’ve never seen- although the in between bus travel days were long, it was worth it when we arrived at each destination

I felt the tour was very fast paced and there wasn’t a lot of time to see or do many things nor was the guide forthcoming with information or enabling us to make the most of our time in places

Certain hotels were very bad and uncomfortable to live in. They made me sick staying there due to poor ventilation, there was one window in the room which didn't even open fully. No air-conditioning or fan.

Amazing way to see the essentials! We started in Amsterdam, and ended in Paris, and saw amazing cities and sights along the way!! Highly recommend this tour!

I dont think accommodation was great! We also had to pay for transportation home to hotel on none optional activities but transportation in to the activity was covered......

Also told us we would have a ride on the bus after picnic back to hotel but then left us (group of girls ) in Paris at night on our own.

Jerry was not always great and at times lazy,rude,and negative.

Other then that it was a great trip. Would advice people to take extra for food as the only options are at service stations most days and its expensive

I got a discounted price for my ticket. It was worth the price for all the places we stayed and the amount of included meals. Optional extras, I am still on the fence about. The only one that I really thought was worth my money was the bike tour in Paris.

Me gustó mucho el viaje, la verdad me gustó mucho la organización, desde acá desde Morelia, la chica que nos atendió en Mundo Joven, siempre atenta, amable y al pendiente de lo que ocupábamos, nos aclaró todas las dudas y nos dio siempre información oportuna, la líder de campamento fue super amable y el chofer del autobús de verdad que fue un amor, siempre atentos y al pendiente de nosotros, en general los hostales estuvieron bien, la comida bien, el autobús super bien, siempre limpio y la verdad cómodo para ser un autobús, puse 4 estrellas porque me gustaría hacer algunas observaciones. Le falló un poco a Top Deck las recomendaciones para el viaje. Desde Morelia la chica de mundo joven nos imprimió las hojas de top deck del itinerario del viaje y ahí estaban las recomendaciones específicas hechas por top deck, las seguimos al pie de la letra y la verdad no nos fueron útiles. Nos recomendaron llevar equipaje determinado y de un peso específico, al llegar el peso no importaba y sí era posible llevar maletas grandes y de ruedas. Igual pasó con las recomendaciones de la ropa y las cosas. Se recomendó llevar una linterna que tuvimos que comprar y que jamás ocupamos, no se advirtió sobre llevar ropa específica para la visita a Suiza (guantes, gorro, lentes, zapatos antiderrapantes) y la verdad sí pasamos frío. Ese fue el único detalle, por todo lo demás debo decir que la atención fue excelente desde Morelia y en cada país a los que nos llevaron. Fue de las mejores experiencias de mi vida por lo cual les agradezco mucho :) saludos!!1

This trip is really good if you want to see a lot of things in a short time period. It was tiring to be on the bus every other day for 6+ hours, but our tour guide made it enjoyable by watching movies and playing games!

Lots of activities on itinerary then get to location to be told only one can be done because it’s christmas or Christmas Eve, if I knew I wasn’t able to do them on that date I would have chose a different trip where I can do them.

Brilliant trip! It inculded so much information and took us to places that were on my bucket list but with the added additions like the lace making demonstraion, it made my experience ten times more memorable. I would recommend this trip to anyone who hadn't really travelled across Europe before, and even to Europeans like myself who want to learn and see more about the countries and the cultures within.

The locations were amazing, however, the tour seemed very rushed. When booking i was told it was going to be 3 or 4 star hotels, all hotels were two star hotels and were a bit far away from the city centre.

The trip went to all the major cities you would want to see in Europe and had a mix of historical and cultural activities and destinations. We so much for the time we were in each place and it was great to be able to do everything we did such as the walking/driving tours

Essential Europe was a great taste of Europe. It left you wanting more but was a good way to start exploring Europe.

Very affordable trip and was well worth it.

An enjoyable tour but too much time on the bus, too little time in each place, accommodation was not very nice. I was happy I did the tour because I was not confident to travel by myself but I wouldn't do it again.

tour guide let the entire trip down. Bus was poorly serviced and not maintained - broke down several times - clearly a hired bus and was a terrible purchase from TopDecks perspective. Despite this I enjoyed the trip however would not use TopDeck again and would have enjoyed another tour guide/bus company etc more than the situation that we had.

I felt that I was afforded the full worth of my money. Travel time was limited as much as possible and I found the 12 days was the perfect time for me to have on a trip. Any longer and I would have been too tired.
I loved all of the country's I visited as well.

Saw all the essential sights of Europe and jam packed with great activities.

Winter express is a good choice if you are on a tight budget and can't afford Europe in the summer. The snow adds a different charm to the place but make sure you layer up well. Germany is just name sake and you don't actually get to see much there, the other 4 countries are good , as in you get at least one full day to see the cities in their entirety.

For the price of the tour, to have a fun and exciting adventure with a top class guide an 38 other people.. great value and the memories priceless.

Winter Express Tour was such good value for money! I got 11 days accommodation, travel, food and amazing company for $1,600! For a solo traveler, this tour took all the fear out of traveling alone. After 11 days I made friends I know I will always had, experienced different cultures and changed my outlook on life!

It was a great variety and we got to see a lot. I thought it was fantastic to go to the concentration camp too and do some real learning along with the fun vacation-style trips.

I enjoyed seeing 5 different countries and enjoying their culture.

Overpriced for what we got and the tour guide dropped us off collected money and wasn't involved at all

Some of the accommodation was terrible also, no blinds, no privacy in bathrooms.

I left the group early as it was overwhelming. Definitely not for someone of my age group (35).

It was great experience and I'm glad I did it but I'm not a massive fan of winter. I'd definitely do another topdeck but not one around the winter season.

Its was all around awesome, but the black point was the hostel in Munich (it is really bad). And the last stop at Belgium should have a little bit more time.

You got to see loads of Europe in such a short amount of time but it was enough.

It was an excellent tour and we saw everything we wanted.

Everything was perfect except the accommodation in a & o hostel in munich. The hostel was unfriendly and filthy.

The price of the package was good. However some important details were concealed until at a time where we could not get refunded.
