This trip was fantastic. It was a great way to see a lot in a small amount of time without the stress and pressure of organising your own itinerary. There is also a heap of free time in each place to go and do whatever you want to do. The introductory walking tours in each country made this super easy as we were shown how to use public transport to get into the city centres. It is a fast-paced trip, so keep this mind if that's not what you're after.

Finally, our trip leader, driver, and group were amazing. Cass and Attila are standout humans, they know their stuff, and get you from A to B efficiently to maximise your time. They both went above and beyond for our group every day.

The whole trip was amazing - everything was organised down to the minuite which was a nice relief to take the pressure off planning and organising for a few weeks. The included activities were amazing, and the optional extras were well worth the money. (please note lots require you to pay in cash so bring lots of that with you.) it’s a great taste for so many different countries across Europe and gives you ideas of where you might want to go back to explore more in the future.
My trip leader Dylan was fun, understanding, knowledgeable and caring. He was able to further explain information when requested, and passed on his personal experiences when he had them of his own.

Highly recommend if you’re going by yourself. You meet great people. The tour leader was great at showing us how to navigate the city before letting us explore for ourselves. Both the driver and leader had so many great suggestions for all the places too!

Best way to see Europe especially if first time travelling there. Met some of the best people and made the best memories! Michelle and Gareth were our guides, they went above and beyond for our group, making sure everyone was safe and enjoying themselves, they were incredible !!

Our trip leader, Emma, really made the trip not only feel like home away from home but, she was also giving us such good history lessons on the coach before arriving to places. What an absolute blast! So many countries and places to see all in one. Kate, our trip lead was incredible, she was knowledgeable about each country and place we visited as well as always gave us some tips on how to get around and communicate with the locals. Ioannis, our driver, was brilliant. Explained everything we needed to know about the coach and road rules. Was always safe and punctual.
All-in-all, just an awesome trip!

Thoroughly enjoyed our trip with Top Deck. Our Guide Sabia and our driver Slaven were incredible! Couldn't have asked for a better team to take us through Europe. It was a trip of a lifetime and I reccomend it for everyone. Can't wait till our next trip!

My wife and I went on this Topdeck tour for our honeymoon, and could not have been more pleased with how the tour went - it was fantastic.

Our trip leader Helio and bus driver Atilla deserve a special mention as two of the key reasons the tour was so great.

Helio was extremely friendly, outgoing and positive, and created the perfect tour vibe for the group. His in-depth knowledge of every stop on the tour was very useful in helping us learn more about each stop and finding good sights, restaurants and activities. He was very safety conscious and made sure that all guests kept safe and were always accounted for. Though we encountered very little issues at all on the tour, Helio was always diligent about checking in with restaurants, hotels and other suppliers with any concerns and ensuring all guests were well looked after. All in all, the tremendous success of the tour is almost entirely down to Helio and his fantastic work over the 2 weeks.

Atilla was extremely professional, friendly and brought a great vibe to our bus trips. He was always on-time, helpful in managing luggage on and off the bus, and drove the bus punctually and safely always.

Helio and Atilla together arranged several surprise stops for the tour group on long drive days, all of which were very welcome and were thoroughly enjoyed by all – helped make the tour that little bit more special. If we were to tour again, we would request Helio and Atilla!

In terms of the tour itself, each stop was meaningful and included great things to do. Though the weather was not fantastic for some days on the tour, there were always things to see and do – aided by Helio’s advice, especially in the rain. The add-on Topdeck experiences were great, with plenty of choice across the tour on extra things to do. There were a few one-night stops on this tour (ie. arrive at a city in the afternoon/early evening, and then depart the next morning). For these few stops, it would have been better to arrive at each city slightly earlier in the day (ie. midday or earlier afternoon), to be able to get some daylight hours in each stop (with the sun setting so early in winter). There were a few stops where we didn’t really get to see the city during the day at all. This was not to the fault of the trip leader or driver – in fact they did their best to get us into each city as early as possible to maximise our time as outlined by the tour. All that being said – being a short tour hitting a lot of places, we were aware that there would be these quick stops, and we were still able to make the most of our time in those places.

Other Topdeck inclusions across the tour were generally good. The walking/orientation tours were great to get familiar with the cities. The several included dinners were hit and miss, some were good, and some were average-poor and not the best choices of restaurant. It seemed some of the chosen restaurants were not keen to cater for our group size, dietary requirements etc. Though none of this affected my wife or I, some other guests with dietary requirements were not given a comparable meal to other guests. Helio was very good in attempting to resolve these issues at each restaurant when encountered, as they were not of his doing at all. It may be worth looking for restaurants better suited for large groups and able to cater for all dietary requirements.

The hotels we stayed in were overall quite good – generally spacious and comfortable enough, most being in an ideal location close to public transport/walking distance to activities/sights. Breakfast was provided in all hotels which was very handy, with most buffets being quite good. Some positive mentions – the hotel used in Switzerland was great with plenty of space in the room and a fantastic breakfast. The hotel used in Salzburg was the best of the tour, a very nice room and bathroom and general facilities – it was a shame we were only in Salzburg for one night to enjoy the nice room. The hotel in Amsterdam was also quite nice with a good quality room (though a few other guests reported problems with their rooms, we had no issue) with a nice breakfast and bar available. A few small mentions following to possibly improve for future departures. The hotel used in Venice was let down by a poor breakfast buffet (most “hot” food was cold and generally poor options compared to the rest of the tour) and the room being the poorest quality compared to the rest of the tour (poor bed, aircon not working well) – though just comfortable enough to get by. The hotel used in Rome, while a nice hotel and room, was in a poor location and a ~30 minute walk to the nearest metro stop (there was a bus stop close by that we did not use). The walk in the evenings from the metro stop back to the hotel did feel slightly unsafe at times, as it felt like you were walking through a more run-down part of town – possibly made to feel worse than it was due to the long walk. Overall, the hotel experience across the tour was positive, with the few slightly-negative experiences not really affecting the overall experience.

All in all, this tour was fantastic and an experience we will never forget. None of the very minor issues noted have affected our overall takeaway experience from the trip. Helio and Atilla again deserve a special mention in contributing immensely to the great success of the trip. We will definitely tour with Topdeck again.

Had the most incredible time! Met some great people, food and Tour excursions were well worth it!

My experience was far from satisfactory. The bus was extremely uncomfortable, making the journey quite unpleasant. Additionally, the stops were poorly planned. Some stops lacked basic amenities like tables to sit down and eat, which was very inconvenient in a 6 hrs trip.

Moreover, we were not informed in advance about the stops, and some of them were in places that did not accept card payments. This caused a lot of hassle, especially when we requested alternative options and the travel leader simply refused to accommodate our needs.

Overall, the lack of comfort and poor planning made the trip disappointing. I hope TopDeck takes these points into consideration to improve their services in the future.

Had a great trip with Topdeck! The Trip Leader Claire and Driver Chris were absolutely amazing. They really took care of everything and were such lovely people. It was our first time in Europe and we couldn't imagine doing this trip by ourselves. Topdeck did all the planning of events, travel and accommodation so all we had to do was show up and enjoy ourselves. Claire taught us a lot about each country's history and the best places to go. We had a lot of fun! Only thing is that there's a fair amount of time on the bus, but that was expected doing over 10 countries in 3 weeks. They made it fun though with lots of games and getting to know each other. I highly recommend Topdeck if you want to see Europe.

The trip was great, we got very lucky with an amazing Trip Leader, Carolyn. It's quite fast paced but you cover heaps. The only down side was the accommodation. The quality was under average of most of them and they were quite far from the main centre so we had to train or uber quite a lot.

This is a really fun trip! Got to spend the 19 days with some great people including our excellent tour guide Monik and bus driver Tomasz. Both Monik and Tom went the extra mile to enhance our trip, including driving us into Rome for the walking tour to avoid a long walk to the station in the heat, and organising extra activities such as the private water taxi in Venice and lunch at a Tuscan Vineyard. Although we only spent two nights in most places, it did not feel overly rushed. Guided walking tours or bus drives on the first day for the majority of destinations were a great way to familiarise ourselves and plan out what to do on our following free day. The accomodation was comfortable and generally quite conveniently located in terms of public transport and city centres. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone. As a first time solo traveler it was a great way to meet new people and see new places without the stress of figuring out how to get to each destination.

Was a good way to explore Europe in 19 days and to see all the history in each place was amazing and exploring each place with your new mates also helped with the experience. The tour leader and bus driver were amazing and made the trip even better

We had the most amazing time on this trip! Nicole and George were awesome! Nicole was so knowledgeable and organised. She made sure we always knew what to expect and organised lots of amazing extras for us. It was great having the free days in each city. Nicole gave us heaps of recommendations so we were really making the most of our time. Group dinners were great, they often included a starter, main and dessert. The only things I would say is most of the meals were pork and a few of the hotels were a bit far out. However we were given a few transport tickets in each city which was a nice touch!

Best thing I have ever done! Dylan and Sean(Tour Guides) were so fantastic, so insightful and showed us everything. A+++++

Fantastic way to taste Europe highlights and see what you'd like to come back for more of! Was great to have an optional itinerary where you can say yes/no to things or choose to arrange your own day. Our tour guide, Jake was a legend and made sure we had the best inside info on where to go and where to avoid. I'd go on any trip where he is the guide.

The only thing that stops this from being 5 star, is that the hotels weren't great. There were about 3-4 that were good or great but the rest were below adequate. Unfortunately we had 3 dirty rooms and the staff didn't fix the issues despite us following up several times. One of them also wasn't ready when we arrived and we lost a couple of hours of our day waiting around for it. It's small things but when it's recurring, it gets really frustrating and wastes lots of time to sort out. It would be good to see topdeck review their hotels a bit better and try to find ones with better service.

Otherwise, wouldn't change a thing about the actual route or itinerary.

This trip was an overall awesome experience! It gives you a great taste of Europe! Overall accomodations were good. Various activities were great! The trip leader Jake was exceptional. His knowledge and recommendations of things to do in each country was great! I got to meet some awesome people, made new friends (all of which were from the same country as me)

Loved this trip! Never felt too rushed with almost a full free day in each city. Smaller group, less than 20, made for quality time with everyone and easier to get around. The additional activities were more expensive than anticipated.

Renee was great and really was very knowledgeable and helpful about exploring each city. Stefan was a very funny and great driver. They with the group made this experience one to remember!

A whirlwind trip through some of the most incredible places! Renee gave a fantastic historical overview of each city, and the optional activities gave a great mix of history, culture and food (as well as a few epic nights out). Being winter, we had snow and cold days, but less crowds and the chance to explore every city. I highly rated the Moulin Rouge, the Colosseum and Vatican Tours, the Rome Food Tour, and the walking tours in each city. The trip was made even more magical by the Christmas markets throughout.

The trip was definitely made by the awesome tour leader and driver (Renee and Jaka) - they made everyone feel included, joined in on activities and dinners, and had everyone laughing and having fun.

The places we went were amazing. we were close to everything.

The trip showed us the main countries that we wanted to see in Europe and handled the logistics. Despite the drive, there was ample time to visit and see all the things that we wanted. The working tours and additional activities were added bonus.

Amazing experience for first time travellers to see a lot in a short time frame, a couple of things to note when booking for Europe the bus stints are long and the toilet in the bus isn’t to be used also you will need to pay nearly every stop to use the toilet I spent $380 aud on toilet stops. The people and trip itself are great but the included meals 5/6 were pork so if you don’t like pork that much it’s a bit rough. An extra night in Austria would have been good. The optional extras some amazing some could do without and are quite expensive good to note if your names down on the sheet there’s no backing out a few of us wanted to cancel but if it’s 24hrs or less notice not an option. Another thing tipping in Europe was required at the included dinners and was advised although since then I’ve spoken to friends from France and Italy and was advised tipping 10% isn’t required so I feel that was unnecessary advice from our guide. I would recommend the trips with topdeck but some improvements could be made with advice provided and a heads up on certain extra costs. The experience was second to none amazing still made great friends and saw some beautiful places just feel it’s important to note the good with the bad

Our Tour Leader Mike was outstanding! Really knowledgeable, fun, highly organised and always had the best recommendations for every place we visited food wise and things to do. This trip was a really great introduction to Europe.

Such an awesome trip, it was pretty fast paced but we saw some really cool spots and it even snowed on our trip which was the absolute highlight! Our tour guide Carolyn and driver Fawzi were awesome. Only downside was our accomodation in Rome, it was old and dirty. Other than that, had a great time and taster of europe!

Our trip was great overall and I really enjoyed my experience. I felt like it took a long time for the group of people on our trip to get to know each other. It would have been been really great to do some introductions on the bus on the first day and some ice breaker games over the first few days as well. Introductions etc are often awkward to initiate but if it comes from the trip leader then everyone will participate and getting involved more willingly.
The accommodation was overall pretty excellent. It would've been better to stay more inner city in Heidelberg & Salzburg given the short amount of time we had there, also as we had dinner included one of those nights and had to be back at our hotel by 6.30pm it was too far away to be able to travel back into the city centre to explore (no public transport nearby and also very quiet so didn't feel safe at night to be able to go back out).

2 nights in Salzburg would have been great to allow time to attend a Sound of Music tour.

Amsterdam and Engelberg accommodation was AMAZING! Rome accomodation was not great - the walls were very thin and the hallways busy with other young school groups who were running up and down and talking/laughing/yelling in big groups for hours at a time on both nights.

It was helpful when our trip leader provided us with tickets for public transport, particularly in the countries that had less English speaking people/signage. She got our bus tickets in Rome and Venice which made it super easy for us to get around and make the most of our time.

Coming back to London from Amsterdam we left at 6am and still missed the early ferry due to a thunderstorm/bad weather. If I have to get up that early I honestly would've preferred to get up and leave by 5am to make sure no matter what weather and traffic conditions are we are guaranteed departure on the early ferry and back to London at a decent time rather than another full day of travelling.

I was disappointed we were unable to get Top Deck hoodies on our trip because there wasn't enough interest from our group. It was be great if Top Deck could ask this as a mandatory field upon booking the trip. That way whoever wants one isn't tied in by a minimum order number and the hoodie could be received at the beginning of the trip rather than a few days before the end. Many people felt like it wasn't worth getting one as there was only 2-3 nights left.

Overall this trip was great, despite it being the “off season” there was plenty to do in most locations. Our trip leader Tim often found additional activities for us to do such as a food tour in Rome which we really enjoyed. Despite some of the hotels being a little far from the city they were all clean and comfortable and Tim would always ensure we had transport passes to get into the city with ease if needed. Our bus driver Tom was also lovely and a safe driver.

The only flaw with this trip was the mix of ages, there were very few under 25’s and it was difficult to connect with the majority of the tour due to the age gap and lack of shared interests. Some of the older men on the tour at times made us feel uncomfortable. Additionally, all our included dinners were disappointing, particularly in Amsterdam where most found the meal inedible.

Great trip to see everything but it did feel slightly rushed in some spots.

My trip was very quick through some cities, but overall I thought the tour manager, bus driver, and overall trip was amazing!! The only thing I would change is the hotel in Rome - it was dirty and run down, security was an issue there, and you can hear through the walls all the other guests on yours and other levels.

Great group and was nice to see heaps of different places - I feel like to saw and experienced so much in a short space of time.

The timing of this particular trip was good, but given it was new years in Paris there were a few difficulties - namely the inability to enter the louvre and experience a lot of the Parisian tourist attractions

The trip was amazing, however we probably didn’t need to visit both Salzburg and Heidelberg both for such a short period of time - I would have preferred just visiting one of them but for two nights so we could see more. I also think that more time in Florence and less time in Switzerland would have been better. Having said that, I really enjoyed all the days and was never bored or rushed.

Awesome I loved it and would do it again

Christian, our tour leader, had no idea. He would read a little script before giving a speal on a new town and sometimes that info was wrong. He slept and used the toilet all the time on the bus and sometimes it was up to us passengers to help the bus driver when a few things went wrong. Early on I asked Christian where it would be good to do washing on the trip ie convenient/reasonable priced. When in Switzerland after seeing the note in the room he told me it could be done there. This was only a couple days in, expensive and we all saw the note in our room.
Similiarly from head office they overlooked a few things - training Chrisitian, having at least a few hotels along the way with close/reasonably priced laundry facilities. Most of the motels were terrible and not at all as advertised, sometimes quite a distance out of town so we needed public transport or taxi to get home which was expensive, only 1 key per room which was bad for travellers who had been partnered up, shower heads not attached to the walls, no shower screens/curtain, not terribly clean ect.
There was no real thought from head office into how long travel actually takes and there was no time allowed if things happened eg accidents or traffic jams (which happened on multiple days). We were always late getting into a town (we had a great bus driver it wasn't his fault) this meant we didn't really get dinner in Paris as we had to dump our bags and get to the tower for the views, in Austria people missed out on the paragliding as we couldn't get there with enough time, in Amsterdam those going to the sex show got their keys first so they got dump their bags and go yet some still got left behind and just generally we were pushed and rushed on arrival in each city. Even though the itinery said we would arrive and explore the new city in the afternoon, we never got in before dinner time. We were rushed into a club in florence and all got angry and walked out as it was our first night in Italy and wanted to eat Italian, not American. This I believe was because he was friends with the owner of the club.
The tour was way to rushed and not at all like it was marketed!!! I knew it would be a lot of travel and might be a bit rushed but nothing like what it was. I have done many tours and this was by far the worst.

Such a fun trip; our tour leader Kriszti was amazing and very knowledgeable, always providing great local recommendations. Accommodation was fantastic and we had so much free time in each location to do our own thing. Would book again in a heartbeat

This tour was a fantastic way of spending 10 days in Eastern Europe. With each day exploring a new place, you’re never bored. This was my first taste of solo-travelling through Europe, so I was very nervous but felt instantly cared for by Blinky, Akosh and the group itself. My only complaint is the locations of the hotels. Considering we had a maximum of 1.5 days in each city, the commute time to-and-from the hotels really cut into our time. Other than that, the tour was fantastic. A good mix of cultural and social activities to encourage group bonding, and a well-paced and cleverly curated itinerary of countries. Would recommend to anyone curious about Eastern Europe, but having no idea where to start!

Europe was of course amazing, no complaints there – amazing cities, incredible food and a lovely experience. The Topdeck tour, however, felt like it was designed to mess with us and ensure that no one ever did a tour with Topdeck again. There were three key issues: 1) the trip leader; 2) the impossible to follow itinerary; and 3) the quality and location of some of the hotels.

1 - The trip leader, Christian, had never done a tour with Topdeck before or this kind of tour and it really showed. He didn't really seem to understand his role and it felt like he thought he was doing us all a favour when he did the most basic of trip leader tasks. He refused to use the Topdeck app to communicate important info, and instead made everyone to download facebook so he could communicate via a facebook page and was snarky when people asked for clarification or information that he had already posted on there (even if he had forgotten to post it). Given that many people didn't have internet reception when they weren't in hotels (e.g. while on the bus) it was extremely unhelpful and as a group we were heavily reliant on each other for figuring out what was happening and when. The bus driver, Danny, also filled in a lot of the gaps when Christian failed to provide any info on where we needed to be and when.

Instead of helping Danny out when things went wrong (e.g. the bus needed a spare part or traffic meant Danny needed to find a rest stop to comply with EU driver time laws), Christian left it to the tour participants to provide the support and assistance and often just slept through bus trips with his headphones on. He was also incredibly rude in chastising everyone for not being on time for getting back on the bus (even when it was because people were still waiting in toilet queues or had stomach problems) despite the fact that half the time it was him we were waiting for. Early in the trip he chastised us all for not being on time to the tower in Paris the night before, even though he hadn't told us any particular time to be there.

Overall communication and planning was an utter mess - planning of activities was often left to the last minute so split second decisions had to be made about activities we had no detail on. We had to pay for all activities in cash, and didn’t always have the right currency if we on the way to that country and the tour leader wasn’t provided with change or a company credit card. Apparently the system meant that if someone opted in to an activity and pulled out, the tour leader would be financially liable and it would come out of his pocket. Activities were poorly timed and organised – e.g. the Paris bike tour group was told the wrong place to meet and then the bike tour had to be cut short so people could make it to the Seine cruise on time. We often regretted booking activities through topdeck and not just organising them ourselves. Christian took no responsibility for any errors and kept trying to pass the blame onto us as the tour participants, or Topdeck as a separate entity (despite people pointing out to him that he was our Topdeck rep and representing the company).

2 – The impossible to follow itinerary – I don’t know if other tours actually manage to get places on time and it was just a problem our tour had, but the way the itinerary is written and advertised sounds like you arrive in most cities mid-afternoon and have a chance to explore a bit before dinner. In most cases we arrived in cities in the evening and walking tours that were supposed to happen that day had to be postponed to the next day. We arrived in Austria too late, in part due to extreme traffic, so four people missed out on paragliding and the canyoning trip was changed to a shorter course. Apparently most groups leave for Austria an hour earlier than we did and Christian had been debating leaving another a whole hour later – it was unclear whether Topdeck had given Christian a clear schedule to follow or he was just told to wing it.

It blew my mind that our trip leader was not legally allowed to give tours in Italy, despite guided tours with the trip leader being in the itinerary for Rome and Venice. It meant we had strange and tense half-***** tours where most info was delivered in strange alleyways, and seems like a major failing on the part of Topdeck.

Overall the whole trip felt rushed with short pockets of time to explore cities and full days on the bus for sometimes 12-14 hours. We were never given a clear overview of what to expect in a day (the PDF wasn’t much help as scheduled activities rarely fit in on the travel days and it didn’t include timing), so generally we tried to piece things together ourselves and it always felt a little off balance like we were going to miss a deadline we weren’t told about.

3 – Quality and location of hotels – I just don’t even know where to start. It became a running joke among the group how terrible all the showers were – if you got a bathroom where the shower head was attached to the wall and the room didn’t flood while you showered, it was cause for celebration. Some of the hotels were surprisingly lovely (e.g. Austria), others were well below our already low expectations (e.g. Rome). The hotel in Florence very far out of town right by the airport. Several others were so far from city centres we had to take taxis to get anywhere – please include other transport costs in your budget. Public transport tickets were provided in a couple of cities, but they were usually 2x one-way trips worth provided on the second day in a city and often it was hard to coordinate collecting them from the tour leader. The fact that many hotels refused to give out two plastic key cards for rooms that were being shared by two people who had just met on the trip was absurd. The idea that people should have to coordinate their plans with their roommate was completely inappropriate. In Switzerland one guy couldn’t get into his room at 1am or so because his roommate had fallen asleep and the hotel reception wasn’t staffed. Christian chastised the guy who had fallen asleep and tried to get the whole bus to hate on him like that was an unreasonable thing to do in your own hotel room in the middle of the night. Christian was also very resistant to the idea that hotels ever give out two room keys and did little to advocate for us. Most of the double rooms booked were two single beds pushed together, which is largely fine, though one in Rome was two single beds with separate sheets and doonas and different height mattresses. The hotel claimed they didn’t have any double beds at all and then agreed that they just didn’t have any available and eventually put new sheets on the beds so they at least kind of functioned like one bed.

Importantly, Danny the bus driver was great. He was lovely and absolutely went out of his way to make it a great trip for us all, provide info where it was lacking, and answer questions happily and without complaint.

I haven’t been on many tours but to be honest if this was my first one I would never go on another one again. It was the mostly poorly executed tour I could of imagined, if tours were like the tv show kitchen nightmares with Gordon Ramsey this would be one of the top.

Overall I wouldn’t recommend this tour to anyone I know and wouldn’t recommend Topdeck as a tour company for other tours

Pause & Play/.. more like rush around each city and sit on a bus 10 hours every second day and stay in out of city and below par accommodation

It was an easy way of travelling but we always traveled during the day and seeing as it got dark so early, some of our stops we only saw in the dark and then left first thing the next morning. My tour was also mainly all couples which I wasn't expecting as a solo traveler. It would be good if the hotel tours were labelled "perfect for couples" or something similar because I would have chosen a different tour if I had known.

The tour was overall very well organised, with our tour guide, Rhiannon, being very engaging in all of our activities. We've been to most highlights in every city we visited. Our tour guide has dealt everything professionally and in a very casual manner, which is a positive thing for us. We felt the tour was rushed but then again we won't be able to see as much if the tour did not go at a rapid pace. Would definitely recommend to someone who's never been to Europe before. It's a good starter.

Got to see a lot of Europe’s famous landmarks and beautiful ones too in a short amount of time. Bit like a taste tester.

Great tour to see the main sights throughout Europe. Gives you the opportunity to spend at one full day in almost every location, and was especially suitable for me as it managed to squeeze eight countries into the small amount of holiday time I had. Will definitely be returning to visit my favorite places in the future.

Everything you want to see you get an excellent taste of each place in Europe that you have been dying to visit. The time you spend in each place encourages you to do anything and everything in the time you have really appreciating your days.

Trip was great as a taster of Europe. It has let me see areas that I want to go back to. Although time is limited, Topdeck does a great job in maximizing the time in each location.
We had bad luck with weather on this trip as it was mostly cold an miserable at every stop. But I’m Canadian so it was still better than home in February.

It was absolutely incredible! The whole trip was just amazing! The trip leader and bus driver was amazing as well.

More people need to visit Europe in the winter!! I would go as far as saying you have not experienced Europe until you have seen it snow in Verona or had Gelato in freezing temperatures in Rome. Winter wonder was beautiful.

Although stops were quick in most locations, it was advertised this way and we had enough time if we crammed :) the walking tours the tour leader provided were a high light due to his knowledge and interesting stories.

This route gives you a taste of many of the major destinations in Europe (London isn't included in terms of the tour - it begins in London).

I joined the tour in Paris (having already spent a few days there prior). You really hit the ground running - trying to befriend 40 odd people and explore Paris simultaneously really set the tone for the coming weeks for me. In each city, you're introduced via a walking tour (or driving tour) and then you're allowed to do as you please until you need to be back on the bus en route to the next destination.

Take advantage of the optional activities on this Tour - they really enhance your experience in certain destinations. The Vatican Tour is worth it, for example. The Adventure Optionals (e.g. Paragliding etc.) in Austria are totally worth it.

The accommodation was fairly decent - I recall the hotels in Florence and Amsterdam to be a little underwhelming however all have Wifi, private bathrooms and clean bedding.

The cities you visit are so diverse - it's impossible to choose highlights. Switzerland was amazing; the town the tour visits is so picturesque and unique - the views were incredible. Venice & Amsterdam are absolute gems as well.

It's a really satisfying route - it was very fulfilling to do!

The trip was great and they did a good job to help you experience the places like taking you to restaurants with local cuisine, but still giving you time to explore on your own. I wish the hotels might have been 1 or 2 stars nicer however. I was exhausted at the end of the day but found the beds uncomfortable in most the hotels so struggled to sleep. Others slept on the bus to make up for it but I couldn’t do that either.

Overall, I enjoyed my experience with Topdeck. As a solo traveler, it was great to have people to experience my journey with and it was a trip that I will never forget. You are able to fit in a lot of cities for the amount of time you travel- yes, it feels like the time in each city is far too short and you spend most of your time on the bus, but that’s what a bus tour is. Note, that each travel day pretty much takes up the whole day, especially when traveling in Fall and winter when the sun sets early.

I must note, that in my experience, one must be outgoing to go on the trip. When I signed up for Democracy Road, I did not know that I would be jumping onto the last leg of a longer trip. By the time I joined, many friend groups were already established and as my trip was beginning, everyone was talking about how they couldn’t believe the trip was almost over. The group leader did not take any initiative to introduce new travelers, which would have been nice to know there were fellow solo travelers on the trip. Additionally, I believe the group leader could have done a better job providing tips and optional activities for days off.

The trip fitted its purpose - it was a taste of a range of different cultures and countries. It was incredible how much we could experience in such a short period of time

Democracy road shows the hidden gems of Europe. You can do the big name places yourself but if you want to see places like Hungary, Czech Republic or Austria this is the trip to do. We had a fantastic tour guide and bus driver that knew all the best places to go. Couldn't recommend Top Deck enough.

Loved my group, the tour guide and driver (Diarmaid and George) were absolutely fantastic! Generally the locations and accommodations and activities were good, Diarmaid did a great job with his historical intros to each place!

As above, needed more time in Vienna and more of a guide through these places. If I wanted to just make my own way through it all I would have done it myself not with a tour.

Great range of activities in each country. Stayed just enough time in each place. Some places I did want to stay longer but it made me realise what places I would like to come back to and what places I think I've seen enough of.

Amazing. It goes through some incredible parts of Europe - it's a great introduction to Europe, and covers a lot of ground quickly.

Europe was exciting when it came to shopping.

The tour was good value, inclusions were great and the places we stopped at were amazing.

I thought the tour was a great insight into our bucket list in Europe. It went to all the main places and even the off the beaten track local places which were sometimes better than the big cities

I only did the Vatican tour, I would have liked the guide to include the church as well.

Great Scenery and Stops. Bus trips felt a bit long in some places. Overall worth it for getting to see multiple countries without the hassle of organizing everything yourself. Though at times feeling a bit rushed through places so missing out on somethings. But again worth it for your first time in Europe for a taste of how it all works without the added stress. Would recommend for first time European travelers.

Too much time on the coach. The included Meals by top deck were always at the cheapest places, one of the meals I had was plain pasta without meat or vegetables!!. Me and my partner had to eat out mostly! One of the hotels room me and my partner had to sleep separately because there was single beds.
Other hotels were so tight and ugly showers.
Time we spent in Paris was the least, for such a beautiful city we expected to be there for a little longer! :((

This was our first trip of hopefully many with Topdeck.
Our trip leader Aisling, was out if this world. She made our trip more amazing than I could have ever imagined! Without her, our trip would not have been the same.
The only down side to the trip was the 1 night stop in Salzburg and Hidelberg.
I would suggest, ditching these, and opting for a 2 night stop, maybe in Munich. These stops didn't give much time in the city and was mostly driving days.
Our bus driver was amazing as well, Ross was just as amazing and informative as Aisling.

Again accomodation and more structure. Trip manager and driver were amazing

This tour is the perfect length. We had just enough time in each place without missing out on any important areas. Great inclusions along the way with meals and almost all of the hotels were above our expectation.

It was great, everything about the tour was awesome, the only part I would criticise is the limit on lactose free meals.

We had a great experience and it was amazing to see so many places in short amount of time, with everything organised for us! It didn't feel like we missed on much in each city, and was perfect for our first taste of Europe!! We met some amazing people on the trip and we are looking forward to meeting up with them again in future!

You will definitely regret buying a topdeck tour. This is a waste of money. You can get a better experience else where. The only reason I booked topdeck was to have a tour guide with and not have to worry about my trip so much as there is someone there as well as making new friends however, just be warned, the tour guides on top deck are just taking the **** and aren't actually there to work or help you. They're just there for a free holiday and to bum around and avoid anything that might inconvenience them. If I were you I would just book it all on my own and you will be sure to have a better time and meet great people regardless. Don't book topdeck
