Berlin is one of those cities that make you go ‘WOW’ Every. Single. Time.

Check out our fave places that make us want to go back. Stat.

The Reichstag.

Known as the Reichstagsgebäude in German, it stands as one of the most iconic historical landmarks in Berlin and famous as the home to the German Empire.

Here you can enjoy the building’s architecture and enjoy some food or beverages in the ‘Dome’ while soaking up the 360 degree view of the city.

The Berlin Wall.

After being partially removed in 1989, travellers can still find parts of the wall today.

TOP TIP: the East Side Gallery is the place to go and the best way to see a sample of Berlin’s amazing street art. Over a kilometre in length, the gallery has been used to express change over time, offer a sense of euphoria and hope for a better future through some Insta-worthy painted artwork.

Street Food Thursday.

This street food event has been voted as one of the best places to get food in the whole of Germany! Located in the borough of Kreuzbergmark and open from 5pm – 10pm, get there after an action packed day to and sample the local and global fare, ranging from Mexican tacos to British pies.

If that’s not enough, wash it all down with the many craft beer and cocktail bars. What’s not to love?

Volkspark Friedrichshain.

This is one of Berlin’s most popular parks, here you can expect bars and restaurants, an open air cinema and even a toboggan run (in the winter!). This is a very friendly and relaxed area and perfect for an afternoon picnic.

The Holocaust War Memorial.

This memorial is famous for its interpretive architecture and immersive experience.

To take in the complete experience, lose yourself in the maze of concrete structures on a route chosen of your choice. Below the memorial is an information centre, free of charge where you can learn more about the historical events and eye opening stories from the past.

Friedrichstrasse Railway Station.

This is a hub for Berlin’s transport, including rail, underground, tram and bus networks.

Located in the centre of the city, the station offers some amazing architecture and surrounding shopping, but most importantly it will allow you travel and explore more of Berlin.
