Our commitment to your safety
Keener-than-keen to hit the road again? Us too. But what does safe travel look like in COVID-times? No one has all the answers – but when you take that once-in-a-lifetime trip with us in 2021, you can be 100% confident your health and wellbeing remain our #1 priority.
We've been busy evaluating safety protocols, updating Trip Leader training and auditing on-road experiences to ensure we align with government and World Health Organisation (WHO) guidelines. Our policies will continue to evolve as more information emerges, but you can be certain every Topdeck trip will continue to be run hygienically, responsibly and with your safety at the forefront of everything we do.
Plus! We’ve been awarded the World Travel and Tourism Council’s Safe Travels stamp. So, when you’re busy finding new, experiencing more and loosing yourself in everyday – know we have your back every step of the way.
What we’re doing

Safe Travels
Topdeck has been awarded the World Travel and Tourism Council’s Safe Travels stamp. Meaning? We’ve adopted globally recognised health and hygiene protocols that align with public health instructions and WTTC’s guidelines. So, when we’re ready to hit the road again – you know we’ll be doing everything we can to keep you safe.

You're in safe hands
Fact: we’ve been around since the 70’s. And over that time, we’ve developed exceptional training and incident management processes for our Crew that place your health, safety and wellbeing at the forefront of every life-changing Topdeck experience. In these uncertain times, we are more committed than ever to ensuring our Crew are trained in COVID-specific hygiene standards and equipping them with the skills required to keep every one of our Topdeckers safe.

On-road hygiene
Our modern fleet of Topdeck coaches are immaculately cleaned before each trip starts and regularly throughout. Once we’re back on the road, your Topdeck Crew will ensure the daily sanitisation of all surfaces – with a focus on high-frequency touchpoints like handles and railings. We will implement new health and hygiene procedures recommended by leading health experts to help prevent the transmission of COVID-19 and increase the safety for you, our Crew and the local communities we visit along the way.

Set off with confidence
Got questions? Our Customer Service Team are here to answer them. They’re up to date on all travel alerts and will provide you with the latest information so you can best prepare for your trip. Well before your trip kicks off, we’ll send all the essentials direct to your inbox – so you can feel confident, prepared and safe before you meet us on Day 1!

24/7 on-trip support
Whether you’ve been on a Topdeck trip before, or you’re a total newbie – every trip starts with a full briefing on what to expect. Now, your pre-trip briefing will outline our new hygiene policies and protective recommendations to help keep yourself, and others, safe throughout your trip. Topdeck Trip Leaders have the local knowledge and practical know-how to help you whilst on tour – plus our Crew are assisted by 24/7 support and have access to real-time resources to ensure they are aware of any changes as they happen.

Keeping each other safe
To ensure the safety of you and your fellow Topdeckers, it’s essential you take responsibility for your own wellbeing by familiarising yourself with hygiene and safety measures recommended by the World Health Organisation (WHO). These include washing your hands regularly (but you were already doing that, right?), complying with local social distancing guidelines and wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) where applicable. All Topdeckers will be required to complete a pre-boarding declaration confirming you understand your personal responsibilities throughout your trip.

On-road partners
COVID-times have prompted us to work closer than ever with our partners and suppliers to ensure they are able to meet all recommended health standards once we return to the road. We’ll be reviewing cleaning protocols, hygiene records, reduction of touch points, customer ratings and risk assessment policies to ensure your safety and wellbeing remains the highest priority. This is new to all of us – but we are actively working on solutions with our trusted partners to ensure you have the best experience possible.
