Topdeck has been awarded the World Travel and Tourism Council’s Safe Travels stamp. Meaning? We’ve adopted globally recognised health and hygiene protocols that align with public health instructions and WTTC’s guidelines. So, when we’re ready to hit the road again – you know we’ll be doing everything we can to keep you safe.

You're in safe hands

You're in safe hands

Fact: we’ve been around since the 70’s. And over that time, we’ve developed exceptional training and incident management processes for our Crew that place your health, safety and wellbeing at the forefront of every life-changing Topdeck experience. In these uncertain times, we are more committed than ever to ensuring our Crew are trained in COVID-specific hygiene standards and equipping them with the skills required to keep every one of our Topdeckers safe.

On-road hygiene

On-road hygiene

Our modern fleet of Topdeck coaches are immaculately cleaned before each trip starts and regularly throughout. Once we’re back on the road, your Topdeck Crew will ensure the daily sanitisation of all surfaces – with a focus on high-frequency touchpoints like handles and railings. We will implement new health and hygiene procedures recommended by leading health experts to help prevent the transmission of COVID-19 and increase the safety for you, our Crew and the local communities we visit along the way.

Keeping each other safe

Keeping each other safe

To ensure the safety of you and your fellow Topdeckers, it’s essential you take responsibility for your own wellbeing by familiarising yourself with hygiene and safety measures recommended by the World Health Organisation (WHO). These include washing your hands regularly (but you were already doing that, right?), complying with local social distancing guidelines and wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) where applicable. All Topdeckers will be required to complete a pre-boarding declaration confirming you understand your personal responsibilities throughout your trip.

On-road partners

On-road partners

COVID-times have prompted us to work closer than ever with our partners and suppliers to ensure they are able to meet all recommended health standards once we return to the road. We’ll be reviewing cleaning protocols, hygiene records, reduction of touch points, customer ratings and risk assessment policies to ensure your safety and wellbeing remains the highest priority. This is new to all of us – but we are actively working on solutions with our trusted partners to ensure you have the best experience possible.

FAQ's

Will there be changes to seating arrangements on Topdeck coaches to allow for social distancing?

At this point in time, we haven’t made any changes. Coach suppliers and government regulators are reviewing industry best practise and once new information is supplied, rest assured all our Topdeck trips will be compliant. Our priority is to keep you as safe as possible.

Will there be issues crossing borders when travelling? Will we have to quarantine during our trip?

The situation is ever changing, but we’re constantly monitoring government sites to track border restrictions and travel quarantine measures. As new information emerges, it will guide our decisions surrounding Topdeck trip destinations and the countries where our Topdeckers live. It’s unlikely we will commence travel before we can run our trips completely, as intended – but we will provide you with any updates to your trip as soon as we are able.

For your own safety, it's vital you're fully compliant with government restrictions issued from your country of residence and destination of travel.

Do I need to be tested for coronavirus before, during and after my Topdeck trip?

This will depend on the measures adopted and enforced by individual governments. Whatever those measures are, our policies will be compliant to ensure the safety of Topdeckers. We’re constantly monitoring the situation and following advice from the World Health Organisation (WHO). Rest assured, we will provide relevant information via our Topdeck app prior to your departure.

What if I start to feel unwell on my trip?

Speak up. Let your Trip Leader know as soon as possible so they can help you. Feeling unwell on a trip can happen from time to time and our Crew are trained on what to do when this occurs. Additionally, our Crew will now receive training specific to coronavirus safety – ensuring they’re prepared to assist you.
